Templates

Kraft Builder, which adheres to the principle of separating content and design, is primarily designed around the use of templates. Using templates instead of creating unique designs for each page is a more effective approach. Template usage reduces repetition and allows for modular use.

The “front page” is the default template used by Kraft Builder. You can create a custom template and set it as the template for any page of your choice.

If you click the ‘Edit with Kraft‘ link directly on a page within the WordPress Dashboard, Kraft will automatically carry out this process, opening the page editing screen.

In the table below, you can find information about the templates.

Template Name Description
Custom Template A user-created, unique template for specific needs.
Front Page The default template for the main homepage.
Index The default template if a specific query doesn’t have a dedicated template.
Blog Posts Page Used for displaying the main blog posts index.
Single Post Template for individual blog posts.
Single Page Template for individual pages (not posts).
Author Archive Shows posts written by a specific author.
Category Archive Displays posts in a specific category.
Tag Archive Lists posts with a specific tag.
Post Archive Used for displaying posts in archive format.
Error 404 Displayed when no content is found (404 error).
Search Results Template for displaying search query results.

To handle templates, just click the explorer icon on the left side. You’ll see all your templates, pages, and components there. To make a new template, simply click the plus icon .

It is recommended to use components for headers and footers. For more information on components, please refer to the components article.
